Is Digital Music Really That Good?

Is digital music really worth all of its hype that it constantly receives? Perhaps it is, I do not know really, what do you all really think about it and do you feel that it is truly worthy of its obviously amazing recognition? Throughout this article I want to go over a few things with you regarding digital music and provide you with some different questions that you too might want to ask yourself before believing all of this hype about digital music and how its the greatest thing going today.

It is quite unique and yes, it does make things easier and more convenient. However, with all of that said, is it really all that amazing really? What about the old record players that played those huge records? Me myself, I still think that those things were and are still truly unbelievably amazing and deserve all of the hype that they ever received or still are getting even today.

No matter how incredible digital music is, I am still an avid observer of what pertains to good music and what type of device really deserves all of that fabulous talk that has been going on with the whole music thing. Digital music does rock but what about when you listened to your all time favorite bands on 8 track players. How freaking awesome were 8 track players? Me personally, I still believe them to be quite an incredible and unique invention. I still remember listening to my moms 8 track player whenever I was just a little boy and I will never forget that either.

For me, things such as those pieces of equipment, they truly deserve hype, they deserve recognition of some sort, they deserve wows and praise and they should and are still being used by so many people believe it or not. The quality might be a little bit or a lot different than from what you receive whenever you are listening to digital music but does the new and “improved” music have that raw sound that you remember when you listened to an old album playing or whenever your mommy put her favorite 8 track into her 8 track player? I really, truly, and most honestly, do not believe so.

Too many things are changing and sometimes it can be very exhausting trying to keep up with all of the incredible and scary changes being made. Digital music is just another change in our lives that we are going to have to get used to but some of us might not agree that it is all that it is cracked up to be, believe it or not!

Stick to your guns on this people, you do not have to agree with the majority of people out there, be yourself, you are an individual not a group of people trying to make a choice. Digital music is crystal clear and definitely amazing, but some things are just better left untouched, you know what I mean?

The Influence of Digital Music

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that almost all of you love listening to music each day and every day. Right? I think most people listen more to this stuff than they watch television. Digitised music has definitely made this listening to music much easier!

With digital music you are presented with so many different options. You now have the choice as to how, when and where we you can enjoy listening to your favorite songs. Digitized music can be played through computers, IPOD’S, MP3 players, and many other different ways. With this “portability” you can even listen to songs in space.

The possibility to take your music anywhere and everywhere makes some tasks much more enjoyable. Think about it. When you are on a road trip listening to your favorite songs makes the time go by much faster and obviously makes the trip much more enjoyable. You no longer have to listen to the bad music in the gym while you are exercising. Or simply create your own little space while working to the sound of sweet tunes. By the way, working with music keeps me motivated. Thanks to digital music the way we listen to music has totally been revolutionized.

Then there is the obvious influence that music has on the way you feel. I do not know about you, but I could not survive a single day without music. You could say that I am a music junkie. Music plays with our emotions (in a good way). It makes us more human. It brings us laughter, joy, and sometimes it brings us tears. Music reflects our emotions, if you are angry you listen to heavy music like heavy metal for instance, and if you are feeling down, you listen to the blues for example.

So remember to turn on your favorite song whenever you are feeling down. It does miracles. Just crank it up. It doesn’t matter where you are. You could be driving on the highway or sitting in your office, crank it up and suck every little bit of pleasure out of your musical experience. Music always brings the biggest smile to my face or, depending on the type of music I listen to, will bring out other emotions as well.

For us music loving people, or music junkies, digital music has opened up so many different ways for us to enjoy our music! Just imagine what the future may bring. I mean, we went from the primitive xylophones from back in the days to MP3’s in just under 200 years. The rate of progress is phenomenal. I can’t wait what the future has in store for music.

Where Is Digital Music Going?

Digital music is the most recent addition to the way we produce and listen to music. I do not know what the future has in store for music but it is inevitable that music will become much more advanced in the future. I mean, how much more advanced can it get. What better can we do than digital? Will it go in a spiritual direction?

There are so many genres of music today and each and everybody has their own preference to what they listen to. Music always tells a story of some sort, no matter what type of music you listen to, and even if there are no lyrics. You should know what I am talking about if you have some background about music and art.

Obviously, nothing can stop digital music. Digital music will continue to grow in the next coming years. I do not know where exactly it is heading but sooner or later we will reach the next step in music. As I am writing this I am listening to digital music on my computer getting really excited about what that next step in music is going to be? Hopefully I will still be around to witness it.

I literally listen to digital music as I step out of bed each morning and continue listening until I close my eyes at night, even after I fall asleep (I have the timer set on 30 minutes). Music will never fade away. It is perpetual and will always exist in one form or another. If you think about it music is just a couple of sound waves that produce one really unique result. Music is in a nature. Listen to the wind blowing through the trees, or the waves breaking on the beach… just another type of music.

Digital music has changed the way that we get to listen to our music. It has definitely improved, there no doubt about that. Maybe you have not been around then, but I can remember listening to my favorite 8 tracks as a small child. Then came cassettes. All analogue stuff. OK, I am not mocking analogue sources at all. In fact, some recording artists prefer recording analogue as it gives more warmth to their recordings. All I want to say really, is that technology is really amazing and that music technology is only going to continue to develop over time, which is something that I personally am really looking forward to.
